Interior Design Process

After a decade of experience in this industry, we’ve refined a process that turns an overwhelming project into a structured roadmap — reducing your decision fatigue, preventing costly mistakes, and resulting in a home that feels personal and authentic to you.

01. Pre-Design Phase

Our process kicks off with the pre-design phase. This part of the project covers budget alignment, inspiration boards, and measurements — while learning your preferences, needs, and daily lifestyle.

After managing hundreds of design projects, this step lays the foundation for a smooth project overall.

02. Design Phase

This phase is when we design your actual space. We present two complete design boards for each room, with product samples that you can see and feel in person. You can mix-and-match items from each board to create a design truly customized to your preferences. For remodels, we provide full CAD plans and specifications, so your contractor knows exactly how to execute the design vision.

03. Procurement Phase

During procurement, we order, track, and handle every item specified in your final design. If items go out of stock, arrive damaged, or simply don’t work, we manage all of the returns and exchanges. For construction projects, we aim to order as much as we can early so the project isn’t delayed in the event of damaged or incorrect items.

04. Implementation Phase

This is when your design really comes to life. For construction projects, we collaborate closely with your contractor to ensure every element of the design is executed seamlessly and beautifully.

For furnishing projects, this is when your furniture and decor are installed and ready for you to enjoy.

  • It depends on the scope of the project. We charge a flat hourly rate for a professionally managed design experience that includes design concepts, technical drawings, sourcing, and installation. Furnishing a single room design typically takes 20-30 hours, while a full home remodel can take upwards of 500 hours.

  • Every project is personally reviewed and guided by Jessica at each stage of the design process. Our team members bring specialized expertise across every discipline, ensuring your home is supported by a dedicated, high-performing group that executes your vision with efficiency and care — all while upholding the elevated, inviting aesthetic Jessica is known for.

  • Absolutely! We’ve designed a multitude of second homes and have processes to support out-of-state projects as well (like this Suncadia interior design project).

  • This is our love language! We incorporate custom and vintage furniture, art, and decor in the majority of our projects.
